Thereafter, IS claims the responsibility for the UK attack. The attacker was identified as Khalid Masood, who was born in Britain itself and had a string of convictions. Details of the 52-year old attacker, came out on Thursday, as the reports suggested that the Islamic state had claimed the responsibility, describing the attacker  as one of it’s soldiers. Prime minister Theresa May taking the Terror attack as a major concern and speaking over it said that Masood is a peripheral figure who had been investigated several years ago in connection to concerns about violent extremism and adding to it she further said that the case is historic and he was not part of the current intelligence picture and there was no prior intelligence report of this event or of the plot.
