TECHNOLOGY A STEP AHEAD : 5G
The generations of mobile network is developing more and it’s the time for 5G. It is expected that from 2020 mobile network will start offering 5G services. Recently T-Mobile is developing a this wireless network. T- Mobile‘s network is looking forward to provide a good reach of network as well as the high speed.
For a good coverage of network and to deliver 5G, a low band 600MHz spectrum is needed . Borje Ekholm who is the present CEO of Ericsson which is a multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services headquatered in Stockholm , Sweden, said “The 600MHz spectrum will allow to be deployed nationwide bringing the ultimate experiences to T-Mobiles enterprise customer and consumers throughout the United States.” “We will support T-Mobile United States with 5G radio development for the spectrum. Commercial availability of the product will be aligned with 3GPP standardization and ecosystem support.”
In February Verizon said it will begin offering gigabit(GB) broadband internet over a wireless 5G connection to pilot customers in eleven select US markets during first half of 2017.
3GPP i.e Third Generation Partnership Project will keep going on upgrading LTE from service delivery perspective. LTE refers to long term evolution and is a standard developed by 3GPP. LTE provides 4G wireless communication which is 10 times the speed of 3G network for mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, wireless hotspots, etc.
Also whenever 5G will be in the market then LTE would be baseline technology for wide area broadband coverage.
IHS Markit (Nasda : INFO) is a world leader in critical information, analytics and solution for major industries, etc. Also according to IHS analyst it is expected that 5G will have created $12 trillion USD worth of value which is equivalent to consumer spending in USA in 2016.
It is expected that 5G would be economically beneficial as 5G will help in long term growth to global real GDP. From 2020 to 2035, the total contribution of 5G to real global GDP will be equivalent to an economy the size of India – currently the seventh largest economy in the world.
