Protest outside Oppo office

Anti national activities have always angered the citizens of country and have united them to stand against such activities and the people committing so. The office of a mobile phone company, Oppo, in Noida’s Sector 63 witnessed a high degree of drama after a Chinese national who works in the company allegedly tore an Indian flag and threw it in a dustbin. Now the Chinese company is facing a major backlash with protests being held in front of its Noida office. Even users on social media have not spared the company. Three Oppo employees had filed a complaint against the Chinese national for disrespecting the national flag. As per the reports so far the Chinese electronics manufacturer has fired the employee but no arrests have been made yet in connection with the case. As soon as the incident took it’s height and came into spotlight, a protest was staged outside the office by Oppo employees and members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Over 200 personnel were deployed to control the crowd. The situation turned aggressive when protesters started demanding the arrest of the Chinese national. They also raised issues related to the labour laws being violated by the company and sought immediate action. Residents of neighboring colonies climbed their rooftops and waved the Indian flag in a show of support for the protesters. The protesters only left after senior officers intervened and promised swift action.

SHO of Phase-3 police station, Umed Singh Yadav said: “We have registered a case and the company has extended its support for the investigation. We have sought the camera footage of the office so that we can check the claim of the employees.”

The company has not made any statement regarding the incident as it is still investigating and to calm the situation it shut off the work for the day asked employees to resume office from Wednesday.
