Nine new Ministers have been taken under oath by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is the third and probably the last reshuffle of his cabinet since he took the position of Prime minister in 2014. The new additions to the cabinet of ministers are from a wide range of experience and wisdom. Four ministers Piyush Goyal, Nirmala Sitharaman, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were elevated to cabinet level.
The nine new ministers were sworn in by President Ram Nath Kovind today from 10.45 am in the morning at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The news ministers who are from BJP are Virendra Kumar, Anant Kumar Hedge, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Alphons Kannanthanam, R K Singh, Hardeep Puri, Satyapal Singh, Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Shiv Pratap Shukla.
Hardeep Puri, R K Singh, Satyapal Singh and Kannanthanam have proven their administrative ability and hence expected to give a fresh impetus into governance. The promotion of Naqvi, Pradhan, Sitharam and Goyal, the erstwhile Ministers of State with independent charge, show that the Modi’s government value good performance.
