Quite recently the Indian government has made it a compulsion to link an individual’s Aadhaar Card Number with their Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card to disable any kind of Income Tax Evasions, by giving the user a summarised detail of their taxes, and eventually help in curbing the menace of the issue of multiple PAN cards with the same name.
This had come with a deadline date of July 1, which was not actually the deadline date but a date from when this system will start operating. If you still have not linked it yet, there are some ways you still can do it, the actual Deadline being in December this year, after which, your PAN Card will be rendered invalid.

In this step, you have to log into the E-filing portal of the Income Tax Department by using the login Id and Password that will be given to you after registration, which you have to enter along with your Date of Birth.
Right after you LOG IN to the site using STEP 2, you will see a POP-UP Window which will tell you to click on it to LINK PAN Card with Aadhaar Card. Do as it says, and if you fail to find the POP-UP Window, then click on the blue tab on the Top Bar with the name of PROFILE SETTINGS, and finally click on “LINK AADHAAR.”
Now is the Third-last method where you have nearly done 90% of the work. In this STEP you would find your details put up on your screen which you had submitted during registration, like DOB, Age, Name, Gender, etc.
You just need to re-check it with that of your Aadhaar Card details, and then you will be taken to the Second-Last Step where:
If all the details from Step 4 match, then you’re supposed to now enter your Aadhaar Card Number and Captcha and link the LINK NOW Button.
This is the Last Step wherein you’d receive a POP-UP Message saying your PAN Card has been successfully Linked to your Aadhaar Card.
