The Indian Football took a historic turn after its decision to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 that would go on from 6th October to 28th October 2017. The venues and dates were decided upon which the teams were first added to groups and then placed in fixtures following the official draw which took place on 7 July in Mumbai. It took place through a method called pot allocation wherein stars like Saina Nehwal and Sunil Chhetri were invited.
The groups are as follows, with India getting to be in group A.
These teams were then allocated to the fixed venues, date and time. Thereby all the matches of India would be played on Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JNU), Delhi. The group matches will take place from 6th to 14th October which will broadcast 4 matches each day – two at 17:00 IST and two at 20:00 IST.
