Metropolitans Delhi and Mumbai, as well as borders of Punjab and Haryana, have been put on high alert over the weekend as the LeT claimed responsibility for another terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a well planned and executed bid to unfoil terror in India, a group of terrorists on Friday attacked a bus carrying policemen returning to their headquarters after day-long duty.
As the attack was sudden and was carried out at night at around 8 p.m, the policemen were given no chance to counter-attack, and 8 of them sustained heavy bullet injuries. One of the 8 policemen that were present in the bus died in the hospital during treatment. Another policeman is critical, as told by a senior police official.
According to the police, the bus belonged to J&K Armed Police and was returning to the company headquarters in Pantha Chowk in Srinagar, when it fell prey to the hiding terrorists in Zewar, near the outskirts of Srinagar at 8 in the night.
Reportedly, Pakistan-based terror agency Lashkar-e-taiba has claimed responsibility for the insensitive act.
In the mob’s opinion, as observed in a news report by the Times Of India, India should hit back at Pakistan with the same strength that Pakistan shows for terrorism and the anger which India shows during cross-border ceasefire violation.
