Congress wins both Mungaoli and Kolaras seats

Congress won both the Bypoll seats of Mungaoli and Kolaras in Madhya Pradesh. Due to the death of Congress MLAs Mahendra Singh Kalukheda (Mungaoli in Ashoknagar district) and Ram Singh Yadav (Kolaras in Shivpuri district) the bypoll election took place.

Congress candidate Brijendra Singh Yadav won 68,123 votes and defeated his BJP rival Baisahab Yadav by the margin of 2,855 votes in Mungaoli Constituency. While in Kolaras constituency, Congress candidate Mahendra Singh Yadav won by 8,000 votes against BJP’s Devendra Jain.

Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia led the campaign for bypoll election which held in Madhya Pradesh

While Biju Janata Dal won the Bijepur assembly seat by the margin of 41,933 votes.
